Summer Concerts in the Orangery at Örbyhus Castle – A Popular Event for 25 Years
For over 25 years, the association Culture at Örbyhus Castle has been organizing concerts in the castle’s beautiful Orangery. The castle is beautifully situated by Lake Vendel, a few kilometers south of the Örbyhus community in an area that has been the scene of several events in Swedish history. The castle made national history in 1577 when the deposed king and Gustav Vasa’s eldest son, Erik XIV, died here. Was he poisoned? Guided tours, concerts in the spring and summer seasons are offered here. Take a stroll around the castle park and admire the beautiful surroundings and fascinating buildings.
