Opposite Uppsala Central Station stands our theater. Uppsala City Theatre is Sweden’s third-largest city theater, often described as a magnet for visitors, a vibrant heart in the city. Today, we won’t have a typical visit; instead, we’ll discover the theater’s innermost corners. What does it look like behind the scenes? What does a props master do? Where do the actors go during intermission? During a guided tour, we’ll wander through every nook of the theater. From rehearsal rooms to the actors’ dressing rooms, we’ll see how the theater’s makeup artists work their magic with the most incredible makeup and wigs, peek into the costume department’s fantastic storage, and step behind the scenes.
